Early construction has started on the $400 million Canterbury Hospital Redevelopment in Campsie, the largest upgrade to the facility in more than 26 years, with TCQ Construction appointed to deliver the first phase.

The early works focus on expanding the existing antenatal unit, converting 316 square metres of basement car park into new clinical space, including additional ultrasound and consultation rooms. That expanded unit is scheduled to open in 2027, according to Mirage News.
