Corrections Policy
We aim for accuracy in every story. When we get something wrong, we fix it openly.
How to report an error
Email hello@bluecollarnews.com.au with:
- The URL of the article
- The error
- The correction, and ideally a source we can verify against
How we correct
- Factual errors are corrected in the article body, with a dated note at the top:
Correction (DD Month YYYY): an earlier version of this story said X. The story has been updated to say Y.
- Significant errors (those that materially change the meaning of the story) are corrected with a dated note and flagged on our home page for at least 24 hours.
- Minor errors (typos, formatting, broken links) are fixed without a note.
- Removed stories are replaced with a stub explaining why the story was removed and what we got wrong.
Modification timestamps
Every article carries a dateModified timestamp in its structured data and in its byline. If you see a “Last updated” date later than the publication date, the article has been corrected, expanded, or rewritten.
